Reporting someone
When you report someone, Axmo opens a ticket: a private conversation between you and the server’s moderators. Only the moderators can see your report. The person you report isn’t told.
Ways to report
Section titled “Ways to report”| To report… | Do this |
|---|---|
| A message | Right-click the message (or long-press on mobile), then Apps → Report message to server. |
| A user | Right-click their name, then Apps → Report user to server. |
| One or more users | Run /report in the server. |
| Anything that isn’t a user or message | Press Open ticket on the server’s “Need a moderator?” message, if it has one. |
Filling in the report
Section titled “Filling in the report”-
Who are you reporting? Pick the users. This is filled in for you when you use the Report user to server menu. You can name up to 10 people, or fewer if the server sets a lower limit.
-
Category. Choose what the report is about, if the server asks. The usual choices are:
- I don’t like this
- Spam
- Harassment or bullying
- Hateful content
- Inappropriate content
- Scam or fraud
- Breaking server rules
- Something else
Servers can turn these off or add their own.
-
What happened? Describe it in 10 to 1,000 characters.
-
Submit. If something needs fixing, like reporting yourself, Axmo tells you what’s wrong and gives you an Edit report button.
After you report
Section titled “After you report”Axmo sends you a DM saying “Ticket opened”, and replies in the server: “Your ticket is open. Check your DMs: reply there to talk to them.” From then on, you talk to the moderators by replying to Axmo’s DMs. See Talking to staff.
If you already have a ticket open
Section titled “If you already have a ticket open”You can have one open ticket per server.
- Reporting a message or user from the menu adds it to your open ticket.
- Using
/reportor Open ticket tells you that you already have a ticket, and to reply to Axmo’s DM instead.
What you can’t report
Section titled “What you can’t report”- Yourself, or Axmo itself
- Axmo’s own messages
- Messages in ticket channels
If a lot of reports are coming in at once, Axmo may ask you to try again in a minute.
Voice channels
Section titled “Voice channels”Some servers turn on voice recording. If you report someone who’s in the same voice channel as you, Axmo may join for a short time, record just you and the people you reported, and add the recording to your ticket. It says in the voice channel’s chat that it’s recording.
Nobody else in the channel is recorded.
