Appealing an action

If a server takes appeals, the DM Axmo sends you about an action has an Appeal button. You can use it even after you’ve been banned or kicked, since it works from your DMs.

  1. Open the DM from Axmo about the action, and press Appeal.

You can also find your actions with /standing and appeal from there.

  2. The form shows the action, its duration and the reason. Under Why should it be reconsidered?, explain your side in 10 to 1,000 characters. The server’s moderators will read this.

  3. Send it. Axmo confirms that your appeal was sent, and the button changes to Appealed.

You’ll get a DM when the moderators decide.

  • You can appeal each action once.
  • Each server limits how many times you can appeal there, usually 3.
  • Each server chooses which kinds of action can be appealed. If there’s no Appeal button, or Axmo says the server doesn’t take appeals for that kind of action, you can’t appeal it.

If the moderators ask for more information

Section titled “If the moderators ask for more information”

You’ll get a DM saying “More information needed”, with their question. Press Resubmit appeal, write your answer in 10 to 1,000 characters, and send it.

Axmo DMs you the outcome. It doesn’t say which moderator decided.

Outcome What it means
Approved The action was overturned and no longer counts against you. A ban or mute is lifted.
Approved Your ban or mute was shortened. The DM shows the new duration.
Rejected The decision stands.
Rejected Your ban or mute was lengthened. The DM shows the new duration.

The Appeal button on the original DM changes to Appeal approved or Appeal rejected.
