Mass actions

/mass acts on many members at once, like banning every account from a raid or giving a role to everyone who joined this week. It shows you exactly who’ll be included before anything happens.

Setting it up

Mass actions are part of the Mod actions plugin, but stay off even when it’s on. To use them:

1. Turn on the Mod actions plugin on the Plugins page of /settings.
2. Turn on Mass commands on the Mass actions page.

Commands

duration works as it does for /ban and /mute. notify overrides the server’s DM members setting for that run. For nickname changes, reason is shown in Discord’s audit log.

Filters

Pick people with filters. Every filter you give must match:

Filter	Matches
joined_within	Members who joined within this long, like 1h.
member_for	Members who’ve been in the server at least this long.
has_role	Members with this role.
name	Names containing this text, up to 100 characters.
regex	Read name as a regular expression (RE2).
paste	Paste a list of user IDs instead, separated by spaces, commas or new lines.

Every command except nickname dehoist and role remove needs at least one filter or a pasted list.

Running a mass action

1. Run the command with your filters. Axmo shows a preview of who’s Included and who’s Left out, and why, like “Above your highest role” or “Already banned”. With more than 10 people, the full list is attached as a file.

2. Check the preview, then confirm with the button, like Ban all. Nothing happens until you confirm.

3. Axmo works through the list a few at a time, with a progress card. Press Stop job to stop part-way.

Each person acted on gets their own case. The Moderation log gets one line for the whole run.

Only one mass action runs per server at a time.

Note

The usual guards still apply. Nobody is acted on if their highest role is the same as or above yours. Mass warnings count towards automation rules like any other.

DMs

Only mass warnings and mutes DM members, and only once everyone’s been acted on. They DM when:

• DM members is on, or
• the command’s notify option says so, or
• Always appealable is on, so members can appeal from the DM

Mass bans, kicks and unbans never DM.

Settings

On the Mass actions page of /settings:

If your filters match more people than your plan allows, narrow them down.

/mass is shown to members with Time Out Members by default.
