Audit logging

Axmo logs what happens in your server to the log channels you choose, so you can see who deleted a message, what it said, who changed a role, or which moderator banned someone.

  1. Turn on the Audit log plugin on the Plugins page of /settings.
  2. On the Logging page, choose a channel for each kind of log. Leave one empty to not log it. You can use one channel for everything, or a channel each.

The Moderation and Server logs work without the Audit log plugin, for Axmo’s own actions and settings changes.

Log What’s posted there
Moderation Cases, automod and raid mode actions, bans, kicks, unbans and timeouts made outside Axmo, Discord AutoMod blocks and flags, and Axmo’s lockdowns and slowmode.
Messages Deleted messages (with who deleted them), bulk deletes and edits, and pins and unpins. Bots’ edits aren’t logged.
Members Joins and leaves, role and nickname changes, and prunes.
Voice Joining, leaving and moving between voice channels. Mutes, deafens and streams aren’t logged.
Server Changes to channels, threads, permission overwrites, roles, webhooks, invites, emoji, stickers, integrations, bots and Discord AutoMod rules, and changes to Axmo’s settings and permissions.

Make your log channels private to staff. They can include deleted messages and members’ details.

On the Audit log page of /settings:

Setting Default What it does
Log channel activity Off Also logs messages deleted or edited inside the log channels themselves.

Axmo’s own messages are never logged.

Axmo keeps recent messages for a while, so it can show what a deleted or edited message said:

Starter Plus Pro
Messages kept 14 days 30 days 45 days

If a message older than that is deleted or edited, the log can’t show its text. This also decides how far back /search, /context and automod’s Show context button can look. There’s no setting for it.

Audit logging has no commands or permissions. Who can read the logs is decided by who can see your log channels in Discord.
