Notes

Notes are private remarks about a member that only moderators can see, like “Warned verbally in voice, keep an eye out”. Use them for things that don’t deserve a case but that the team should know. They’re numbered per server, like cases, can carry messages as evidence, and every change is logged.

To use notes, turn on the Notes plugin on the Plugins page of /settings.

Command What it does Options
/note add Write a note about a member. user, text
/note view Show a note. note
/note list List a member’s notes. user
/note edit Change a note. note
/note delete Delete a note. note

text can be up to 1,000 characters, and snippets work in it. You can’t write notes about yourself.

A note’s card has Edit note, Add item, List items, History and Delete note buttons. If you have a workspace open, your next note takes its messages as evidence.

Notes also show up in /investigate.

  • Anyone with notes.create can write notes, and edit or delete their own.
  • notes.manage lets you edit anyone’s notes.
  • notes.delete lets you delete anyone’s notes. No default group has it.
  • Nobody but the server owner changes notes about themselves.

On the Notes page of /settings, choose whether the logs mention when someone has notes:
